Norway

Hey hey! This time I'm going to post about the country I'd love to visit: Norway. It's not just about the music, or the landsape. It just attracts me somehow.

The norwegian flag.

Description
Norway, officially the kingdom of Norway is a nordic unitary constitutional monarchy, located at the west of the Scandinavian Peninsula. It has 4.9 million population and a 385,252 square kilometres area. It's the second least densely populated country of Europe. It's capital is Oslo, and it has an extensive coastline, facing the NA Ocean and the Barents Sea.

Language
The official language in Norway is the norgewian (Bokmal and Nyorsk)

Etymology

Modern etymologysts believe the country's name means "the northward route" (the "way north" or the "north way"), which in Old Norse would have been nor veg or *norð vegr. The Old Norse name for Norway was Nóregr, the Anglo-Saxon Norþ weg and mediaeval Latin Northvegia. The present name of the Kingdom of Norway in Bokmål is "Kongeriket Norge" and in Nynorsk "Kongeriket Noreg", both only a couple of letters removed from the original "northern way": Nor(d)-(v)e.g.

Geography, climate, biodiversity and enviroment.

Norwegian lowland landscape

Norway is located at the western side of the Scandinavian Peninsula, norh of Europe. It has a way long coastline, full of fjords and islands. It's bordered by the North Atlantic Ocean, the Barents Sea, the Norwegian Sea, and Skagerrak. The land is mostly made of hard granite and gneiss rock, but slate, sandstone and limestone are also common, and the lowest elevations contain marine deposits. Norway lies between latitudes 57° and 81° N, and longitudes 4° and 32° E.

Lysakerelva river
There are kinda more precipitations in the northern and western area than in the southeastern one. The lowlands have the warmest summers, but the coldest ans snowiest winters too.
Because of it's high latitude there are seasonal
variations of daylight.

Muskus

The total number of species include 16,000 species of insects (probably 4,000 more species yet to be described), 20,000 species of algae, 1,800 species of lichen, 1,050 species of mosses, 2,800 species of vascular plants, up to 7,000 species of fungi, 450 species of birds (250 species nesting in Norway), 90 species of mammals, 45 fresh-water species of fish, 150 salt-water species of fish, 1,000 species of fresh-water invertebrates and 3,500 species of salt-water invertebrates.

Norwegian fjords
You can find amazing and stunning landscape in Norway. Overcoat, it's fjords, listed by National Geographic as the world's top touristic attraction, and it's thousands of islands.

Top 5 songs

Hi my friends! I'm back again. As I promised, I'm going to share with you my favourite black metal songs.

What Once Was (Translated to english)

What Once Was

Between the bushes we stared
At those who reminded us of another age
And told that hope was away
Forever...
We heard elvensong and
Water that trickled
What once was is now
Away
All the blood...
All the longing and pain that
                                                      Ruled
                                                      Are away...
                                                      Forever...
                                                      We are not dead...
                                                      We have never lived

Everything here is so cold
everything here is so dark
I remember it as from a dream
in the corner of this time
Diabolic shapes float by
out from the dark
I remember it was here i died
by following the freezing moon
It's night again, night you beautiful
I please my hunger on living humans
night of hunger, follow it's call
follow the freezing moon
Darkness is growing, the eternity opens
the cemetary lights up again
as in ancient times
fallen souls, die behind my steps
by following the freezing moon

#3: Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger, from the album Transilvanian Hunger
Transilvanian hunger...cold..soul
your hands are cruel...to haunt..to haunt
The mountains are cold...soul...soul...
careful..pale...forever at night
Take me...can't you feel the call
embrace me eternally in your daylight slumber
To be draped by the shadow of your morbid palace
ohh, hate living...the only heat is warm blood
So pure... so cold
transilvanian hunger
Hail to the true, intense vampires
a story made for divine fulfillment
To be the ones breathing a wind of sorrow
sorrow and fright the dearest catharsis
Beautiful evil self to be the morbid count
a part of a pact that is delightfully immortal
Feel the call freeze you with the uppermost desire
                                                      transilvanian hunger...my mountain is cold
                                                      So pure... evil, cold
                                                      transilvanian hunger
Satan My Master
I slit my wrists to drain me of my blood
Satan My Master
Up side down I turn the cross of God

Satan My Master
Recieve this sacrifice this blood of mine
Satan My Master
I cut into my rotten flesh your signs

Satan My Master
Remember me when judgement day is near
                                                      Satan My Master
Take my hand when Armageddon is here

Far above the ravengate
the spreaded wings of blashyrkh waits
Above the roaring depths
Sits the oath of frost
On the elder raventhrone
Older mountains sleeping in my sight
By chilling woods I stand
A grimly sound of naked winds
Is all that shall ever be heard from here
Cometh the rightful kings of highest halls
Cry of tavens lurk the realm
                                                      Eternally through the noctambulant grimness
..Demons stride at the gates of blashyrkh...
                                                      ..Blashyrkh... Mighty ravendark...
Well, those are some of my favourite ones, but you should listen to all this awesome bands!

Norgewian Black Metal

Norgewian black metal is a movement that happened in the early 90's. It started with a group of young people that had common thoughts and interests. The main characteristics of this movement are the antichristian lyrics and behaviour, rebelion against the "good production", and the defense of the traditional norgewian culture. There were lots of church burnings between 1992 and 1993, two murders, and a suicide. The movement in general created a lot of hassle. The most relevant bands of this kind of music are Burzum, Mayhem, Darkthrone, and Emperor.

Charasteristics:

Gutural vocals, dark and fast guitar riffs (Euronymus created the black metal riff, it comes from Bathory's, but it's not the same one) double bass and blast beats.

Esthetics:

Corpse paint, dark clothes and nails.

"Per Yngve "Dead" Ohlin from Mayhem"

Inner Circle

It's the name Oystein "Euronymus" Aarseth (guitarist of Mayhem) gave to this movement. Some people accepted it, but others didn't. They lived in his shop Helvete (Hell, in Norgewian) selling albums to costumers, talking, and drinking. Euronymus lived in a hideway on the roof, while Varg lived on a sofa.  It was Varg himself who set fire to a church for the first time. By the time, he started to be more popular between the circle, but Euro was supposed to be the "leader". So, he burnt the Homellkonen chapel with Faust and Varg. People started to imitate them, pretending they were satanists. Varg decided to print it on the news, but he got arrested. Later on, lots of churches burnt                                               down.                                                                                                          "Euronymus"

Suicide.
Euronymus found Dead dead on April 8th 1991. He had himself in his forehead and cutted his wrists. He left a note saying "Excuse the blood all around". Oystein didn't call the cops, instead of that he picked a camera and took a photo of the corpse. Later on, that pic would be the cover for their album Dawn Of The Black Hearts

The murder of Euronymus.

August 10th 1993, Varg drove to Oystein's house in Oslo, cause he sent him a letter for a contract of Burzum with his record label Deathlike Silence. When he entered the room, Euronymus attacked him. He managed himself to get a knife in the kitchen, but Varg stopped him. Oystein ran down stairs, but Varg finally stopped him, he stabbed him in the skull, so he died inmidiately.
Varg was condemned to a 21 year prison term for wildful murder and arson. He was released the 24th May 2009
.

Varg Vikernes when he received the verdict.

Soon, I will post more information and black metal music :)
